A new venture for the end of 2013 was the start of A's Apple Products. Amy, our eldest daughter, bought a property with some old apple trees which were covered with apples. She decided to create chutneys, jams, jellies, butters and apple juice from them.
She took some of the apples to Truro Primestock show where they were judged, as well as her first ever attempt at showing chutney - as you can see she did rather well!

She also took a stand to different events in December 2013 selling produce.
At the Exeter and District Primestock Show she was awarded the 'best trade stand' from the Mayor of Exeter.

Below is the apple chopper - showing the apples being chopped, which forms an apple pulp. This pulp is then put in the apple press, where the juice flows and can be bottled. The bottled juice is then pasteurised to keep the apple juice for up to two years.
